Please remember to plan for the following:
We will be closed on all public holidays, and on 15 June and 25 September 2015.

We will close on Wednesday 9 December 2015 and open on Wednesday
6 January 2016.

As Farmyard only officially closes during the December holiday, a holiday
programme will be followed during the April, July and October school breaks.

Little Farmyard business hours:
Monday – Friday 6:30 – 18:00.

Please do not teach your child how to use the gate code! The gate is meant to keep strangers out and our children in.
While in a vehicle, please insist that your child/children wear safety belts at all times! Kindly drive slowly and carefully on the Farmyard road and be considerate in the
parking area.

Cindy, the Yellow class teacher will be on maternity leave from 1 May 2015 to
31 August 2015. As it is extremely difficult to find a trained and experienced teacher for only four months, teacher Jeanne (Orange class) will take over from Cindy during this period. We have appointed a baby class teacher to stand in for Jeanne.

Kathy van der Walt agreed to help us out in the Orange class. She will be at school every day from 7:00 – 13:30. She is an experienced day mother, and has also worked at a nursery school for several years before retiring. Kathy is Graham’s (green class) granny, and is a “young granny”, filled with energy. During our interview with her, we were very impressed with her experience and knowledge concerning the care and education of babies and toddlers. She will start working in the Orange class the week before Jeanne starts in the Yellow class. Jeanne will show her exactly how things are done at Farmyard.

Jeanne has taught the 4-5 year old learners before and has the necessary training and experience to ensure that the Yellow class do not miss out on anything while teacher Cindy is on maternity leave.
